If the title has been returned to the department as undeliverable, a fast title can be issued at no charge to the customer. Verification of address must be submitted if the address differs from DHSMV records.
If the title has not been returned to the department as undeliverable, the title issue date exceeds 20 days, and a replacement title is applied for within 180 days of the issue date, a title can be issued. If the customer wishes to receive their replacement title as a fast title, a $5.00 service fee is charged. Verification of address must be submitted if the address differs from DHSMV records. If the title issue date does not exceed 20 days, the duplicate title fee of $6.50 will apply as well as the $5.00 fast title service fee.
